I recently signed up with 24 Hour Fitness about 2 months ago. It felt like a whole new world to me, it did take some time get used too. I had to walk around, see where all the equipment was and just get familiar with the place. I like it a lot, it has a Spinning room, HUGE Aerobics room, 2 Racquetball courts, Basketball court, Swimming pool, Hot tub & Sauna/Steam room.

Did you know that for example; if you do leg extensions on a “Cybex” machine and do the same exercise on a “life fitness” machine, it will feel like it’s more of a challenge? Your muscles get used to doing the same machine that when you switch it’s like tricking your muscles but it’s the same exercise. You know what I mean? I know i felt it the next day. This gym has some equipment that I’ve never seen before. A mass amount of cardio equipment, I walked in there the first day and was blown away. I’ll never have a problem getting my cardio in.

The staff is very nice, I’ve made some good friends already. They asked me if I would be interested in training there. I thought that was really cool that they would think I’d make a great trainer there.

Anyway, I’ll be training there for a little while. I still have my membership at my other gym, it’s paid up already for the year. So, I go back and forth, mainly when I’m training legs because my other gym has some equipment that 24 doesn’t have. SORRY!!

Once Again Work Kept Me From The Gym!!

Can you believe 2 days in a row I didn’t go to the gym?!? Shame on me, I better work extra hard this weekend. Summers right around the corner and I want to be bikini ready ;)

Tomorrow I will be getting my butt to the gym, this time I’ll do 40 mins of cardio on Sat & Sun. To top it off I went to Einstein’s Bagels for breakfast and they have these new bagel poppers, cinnamon sugar and sweet cream cheese.. Yumm Yumm mmy!!! They are SUPER AMAZING.. You gotta try them…

I’m going to grab some dinner. Have a great night!!

Wed - Just Couldn’t Make It To The Gym!!

Today I was too exhausted to even attempt to go to the gym. I started placing a bunch of listings on craigslist and I already started getting calls. So, I focused on that and figured I can make it up on the weekend. No big deal.

Real Estate is starting to pick up, and it looks like I’m going to be real busy!! Finally, I hate when I’m not being productive. I like to keep myself busy.

Great Weekend…Back To Work

Today was my first day back to work, I finally got back into the Real Estate office. Ahhhh, what have I been doing this whole time? I forgot how great it is to get out there and work. The old Michelle is back and determined to focus more on me, I am so happy to be working again.

I got up this morning and did my usual routine, turned on CNBC to see what’s going on in the financial world. Man it’s not good & Stocks, horrible. Oil is way down since it was trading at $150 a barrel just what, 5 months ago? WOW.. But I’m optimistic, I know things will turn around, I’m not worried.

I’m gonna skip the gym today but as soon as my friend gets here we’re gonna do a 3 mile walk to the beach and back. This time I’m gonna take my dogs. Let’s see if they can handle all the walking. I’m sure I will be carrying my baby Bandit back home. He’s so lazy, he will literally stop and lay down and wait until you pick him up. How funny?

Oh yeah I was asked if I wanted to volunteer for the Obama Campaign.. I would do it, ONLY if it’s something that is of interest to me of course. So, I’ll call them up to see what kind of volunteering they are looking for. I like Obama, I believe he will change this country for the better. We need someone who cares about the people and this country, and I believe he does have a heart. And we all know that we do need a change.

Can I get an AMEN.. Just Kidding…

What A Week I’ve Had So Far

How’s everybody doing today?? I’m actually having a good day today, a few days ago I got some horrible news about a friend of mine.  He decided to take his life one night all because of a girl and his career. He was having problems financially and he’s been using drugs abusively. I would’ve never thought he would have any problems, he was a good person and had a stable secure career. I was really upset over the whole thing, I still am but I can’t walk around like I’m not even on this earth. That’s how I was the other day, just in another world asking a million questions in my mind, yelling at him for doing what he did. I was so mad and upset at the same time.

That really had an impact on me, I realized that I need to show the people that I care about how much they mean to me because one day they may not be here. And it gives me the most amazing feeling when I can show them how much I appreciate them for being a part of my life. As for my friend Kelly, I will miss him…

Tuesday I ran into my friend Danny at my gym, I didn’t even know he went to my gym. Anyway, he invited me out later that night to have dinner and drinks at Houston’s Steak House with a bunch of people. I didn’t’ feel like going, just wasn’t feeling to go out.

Yesterday I went to the gym and Miami, then later on that night I went to my friends to chill there for a little while. We were CRACKING up like non-stop. One of my friends was talking like Borat, it was hysterical, then this girl and this kid Chris come over, first he introduced himself as Mufasa. It didn’t register right away that he was messing with us, I really thought his name was Mufasa, so like the whole time I’m thinking his name is Mufasa till his friend called him Chris. That kid was super funny, he was making fun of this girl who was there because she has a big forehead. OMG I can’t begin to tell you what he was saying. She didn’t care, she was laughing too. My friend Jose had no idea we were talking about her and as we’re busting more jokes he goes “OMG you are talking about her?” Freaking funny… I was laughing so hard. I needed that.

I rented Iron Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night, we only got to watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall cuz I got home too late. Anyway, just to let you know my FAVORITE part of the movie is when the kid that plays the waiter hands Sarah Marshall’s famous singer boyfriend a CD (He’s obsessed with the singer) and like later on in the movie he asked him if he ever got a chance to listen to the CD that he gave him. This guy with his English accent goes “I was going to… But then I decided to go on with my life”. Just say it with an English accent in a very nonchalant way!! THE BEST PART of the movie… You have to see it to see what I mean..

Today I skipped the gym, I had some things to do out in Plantation and then tonight a bunch of friends are gonna come over to watch Iron Man. So I’m going to have a full house, so I must get this done first. I’ll post my workouts on a new page.

Oh yeah I forgot today is my friends birthday.. Happy Birthday Vinny!!! OMG today is another Vinny’s birthday that I know too. I just realized that.. How funny? My friend Jessie’s is on the 4th, she invited me up there to celebrate, I wish I could.

Anyway, that’s my eventful week so far. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.. Have a great night!!!!

I was getting so frustrated

Today I made a banner to place on my myspace page and I also wanted to link it to take them back to my blog. I couldn’t figure it out for my life like all day. First I designed it in Photoshop, then I tried to do it in Dreamweaver. It worked on Dreamweaver but I couldn’t get it up on my myspace page. So FINALLY I got the code that I needed to get the banner up there. YaY it worked… I’m so happy… Let’s see who comes to visit..

So anyway yesterday I didn’t get a chance to write, I got caught up with some things and by the time I was finished it was already too late and I was tired. Yesterday my workout was good did my shoulders, abs and cardio. Below is my workout for Monday.

Took A Break Yesterday

Well I was going to go to the gym yesterday but I wasn’t feeling good. So I told myself if I felt better after I got my hair done then I’d go straight from there. But after a glass of wine (Yes they give you wine in the salon) and 2 hrs later I decided to just go home and finish up some work.

I made the most AMAZING grilled chicken sandwich last night.. It was like right out of a magazine haha.. I made it marinated in Balsamic Vinaigrette, then I took Basil Pesto Spread (OMG) and put it all over the Italian Bread, Provolone Cheese with Roasted Peppers and then I took the sandwich and pressed it on the grill.. WoW it was So So good…

OH YEAH, I can cook when I get in the mood…

Man am I tired today

This morning I got woken up by my cell phone ringing at 5, mind you I went to bed like 1. So right after that phone call I just couldn’t go back to sleep. So I went to Dunken Donuts and got myself a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and went to the store and got myself an energy drink (sugar free).

I got home and must have read 3 magazines, checked my email and read some of my book. I thought I was gonna go to the gym, but by the time I was ready I was too tired. So, I went out west to Plantation to do some things. After I was supposed to go to my friends BBQ to watch the Jets vs The Dolphins, but I just wasn’t feeling so great. I have a lot on my mind and when I get this way I really don’t want to be around many people.

Right now I’m gonna relax and eat some dinner in a little bit…Tomorrow’s another day!!

Taking it easy today

Today I really didn’t do much, woke up and got ready for the gym. Last night was a long night, so today I decided to chill. I could’ve went to this club Set tonight, but I just wasn’t feeling it.  I got to the gym and ran into my friend Nomie, we haven’t seen each other in a while so we chatted for a little bit. After, I went upstairs and started working out. Today I did chest & triceps. I didn’t do cardio today, my legs are still sore from wed. Ugh. So I finished working out and went home, I made a protein shake and got ready to go to the beach.. It was so beautiful out today.. The water was gorgeous. Not a cloud in the sky. I didn’t wanna leave..

Tonight we ate lasagna.. I was craving it for some reason. It was so so so good. And then I had some vanilla ice cream with orange sorbet.. Oh yeah and Reese’s Pieces.. It’s Sat, I can… HaHa

I’m gonna go watch some tv for a little bit then go to bed…. Ttyl
